September 29– October 6, 2018
This trip is for artists, travelers who appreciate art, and for those wanting an insider’s tour experience. This is a unique program! We will travel to sites within Tuscany that are seldom included in tours and that I believe are of special visual interest. I have enlisted local experts, whom I know, to guide us in Florence and through Tuscany’s landscape of vineyards, olive groves, and cypress.
Lodging • Meals • Transportation • Guides | inclusive: €3200,00
Passionate art historians, experts in their field and engaging presenters, will show us art and architectural treasures. A culinary guide will take us off the beaten track to personally introduce us to producers of Tuscany’s unique food and wine. Inspiring contemporary artists and craftspeople will show us their techniques and products. With my support and expertise, artists in the group will have the opportunity to capture their experiences with cameras or plein air media. Non-artists will have time to further explore sites in Tuscany with our guides.
Fee includes lodging, meals (all breakfasts, all dinners including wine, and three lunches), transportation within Tuscany, guides and other presenters, most entry fees. Double occupancy.
Located in Impruneta just outside of Florence in the Chianti region, La Casa Gialla is a typical Tuscan farmhouse from the 16th century. Its recent renovation paid close attention to the historical and aesthetic integrity of the large villa and three apartments on the property. Each room has a private bathroom. There is a swimming pool, laundry, TV SAT, and Internet connection.
